Litchfield Superior Court Judge Vincent Roche ruled Monday in favor of the neighbors challenging the commercialization of their residential neighborhood by the White Oak Gun Club in the Milton hamlet of Litchfield.

A proposed wind turbine on the grounds of the Woodridge Lake sewage treatment plant on Brush Hill Road might get a second wind, as the application is scheduled to be resubmitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday.

Litchfield's annual Holiday Stroll and Light-Up Night, as well as the Litchfield Historical Society's Holiday Open House, will be held a little earlier this year to jump start the holiday season, with a few new twists thrown in for good measure.

As the holiday season draws closer and financial relief nowhere in sight, local charities and organizations are worried that they won't be able to deliver holiday cheer to needy families in the Litchfield area this year.
